Covid restrictions trigger postponements

Lakeside Little Theatre has been obliged to postpone its presentation of the Ajijic Readers Theatre production of “It’s My Party,” scheduled January 22, 23 and 24.

Assuming no lockdown extension, it will take the stage Friday to Sunday, February 12, 13 and 14. An announcement will be made when the box office reopens.

Meanwhile, the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) has postponed all activities through the end of January. The January 22 Branden and James concerts, which had sold out, will be rescheduled as a Valentine’s Day concert. Open Circle will resume presentations Sunday, February 7. The LCS libraries will be closed and all classes and activities will be postponed until February.

The LCS café will maintain regular hours and offer takeout (call 333-150-6940). The LCS optometrist (appointments: 3310411-1178) and hearing aid service (appointments: 331-511-4088) will be available. The main gate will be open during its normal hours, but will be closed Monday, February 1, on the Mexican holiday celebrating Mexican Constitution Day.
