What do you do if God gives you a very hard task? What if it means to give up a large sum of money? What if you may lose your family? What if God calls you to surrender your life?
This is exactly what Jesus faced. He was sent into this world to save all humanity. To do it, he had to die on the cross for the sins of the world.
LPC supports feeding programs at Niños de San Antonio, A.C., and in the pueblos of Mezcala, La Cuesta and La Zapotera. Thirty three despensas were delivered the third week of March for a total of 347 so far this year.

Little Chapel
Pastor Pete Campbell continues his sermon series on the book of Daniel, “Survival Kit for the Final Days,” Sunday, March 28, 11 a.m., at the praise and worship service at the Little Chapel by the Lake.
In Daniel Chapter four, we will learn from King Nebuchadnezzar who is really in control, even if you are the richest, most powerful person in the entire world.
Wednesday, March 31, 4 p.m., we will continue Bible studies in the book of Hebrews, with Chuck Missler, at Calle Santa Isabel 29 in Riberas de Pilar, a long green house on the south side of the street.
Saturday, April 3, come to the Little Chapel at 5 p.m. for a musical singalong: “A Joyful Noise Celebration.”
Donations for our monthly food and clothing distribution can be dropped off in the big purple donation box in front of the Chapel. The monthly distribution is Tuesday, April 6; meet at the Chapel at 3 p.m. to load up and carpool to San Juan Tecomatlan.

Unitarians
The Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will provide services via Zoom Sunday, March 28, 10:30 a.m. Instructions for accessing the online service are at lakechapalauu.org.
The Jewish Passover holiday starts at sundown Friday evening, March 27, and continues for a week. The holiday celebrates the escape of the ancient Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Thus, this holiday is about freedom from oppression, touching larger themes of justice and fairness for all. Rev. Matt Alspaugh is the speaker and Dee Dee Camhi, Catherine Luria and Eric Luria are the service leaders.
St. Andrew’s Anglican
Sunday, March 28, the fifth Sunday of Lent, with our church once again open, you are invited to join the in-person service and see the new mural of the “Dancing Saints,” painted by Ajijic artist Javier Zargoza. St. Andrew’s will continue to live-stream services, accessed online through standrewsriberas.org, beginning at 10 a.m. It will remain on the website until Saturday, April 3.

St. Andrew’s feeding program is collecting non-perishable food items to donate to Operation Feed. Boxed milk and empty cardboard egg cartons are especially welcome, in addition to rice, beans, pasta, lentils, garbanzos, oats, oil and salt. Operation Feed distributes these foodstuffs to Lakeside’s neediest families.
You may honor or memorialize your loved ones by contributing 500 pesos for the church’s Sunday flowers. The flowers may be returned to you after the service or if you choose, they will be taken to shut-ins to appreciate. Christ Church
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the Sunday of the Passion, Palm Sunday, March 28, by celebrating a Holy Eucharist service, 10 a.m., in their new location, two doors east, and on the same side of the highway as La Huerta Eventos Center. Look for the building with a red door and windows next to the Smoke House.
Rev. Jim Powers will celebrate the Eucharist and Deacon Jerry Stiles will lead the Liturgy of the Palms and give the message “The Passion” based on Mark 15:1-39. The Passion according to Mark will be recited in parts by various members of the congregation.
A Maundy Thursday Service Liturgy will be held on April 1, starting at 5 P.M. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate and preach.
A Good Friday Fast Liturgy will be observed in the church on April 2, starting at noon. Rev. Danny Borkowski will celebrate and give a message. Deacon Jerry Stiles will accompany him.
The church will celebrate the Sunday of the Resurrection, Easter Day with a Holy Eucharist starting at 10 a.m. in the church. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate, Rev. Chris Wysock the Exsultet, and Deacon Jerry Stiles will assist.
All services will not be Zoom televised. Covid-19 Jalisco state ordinances and diocesan mandates will be observed. Masks are required.

The Loaves and Fishes Food Distribution will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 12:30 p.m. at Calle Jesus Garcia 11 in San Antonio, Tlayacapan. Lake Chapala Baptist
The Lake Chapala Baptist Church will be open Sunday, March 28, 11 a.m., for an in-person service. Protocol for Covid, including masks, sanitizing and social distancing will be followed.
The apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:22-23 writes about our basic nature as man and women when it comes to the topic of marriage. Husbands are commanded to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Jesus sacrificed Himself for the church. Wives are to submit respectfully to their husbands, as to the Lord. “However, let each man of you, without exception love his wife as being in a sense his very own self, and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband — that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates and esteems him, and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly.” Now these commands do not state “If” the husband is honorable, or “If” the wife is deserving of such love. We all know we fail, we are selfish, and self-centered in being all that God desires us to be. However, with His grace if those of us who are married would accept God’s perfect plan for our marriages and strive to be all the husband and wife that God has called us to be there would be peace, love, and harmony in our homes. As Pastor John Linton stated “You enter marriage to give, not to get. That way marriage starts to be one of beauty and enjoyment rather than a scene of a ship wrecked by stormy seas.

Lakeside CommunityFellowship
Proverbs 9:7-8, “Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.”
Many people today love to deride or make fun of either Christians or the Bible. These verses call those people scoffers. If you’re a Christian believer and you hear their mockery, the temptation is to correct them, reprove them, rebuke them. But the Bible plainly tells you not to do that. Why? Because you’re going to receive verbal abuse, physical harm and hatred. So, no matter how badly you want to go back at that mocker, don’t do it. Hold your tongue, as hard as that may be, and keep your eyes open because you’re looking for a wise man, one who wants to learn, someone who wants to better themselves. They’re open to being corrected when they’re doing something wrong. And when you gently correct them they not only listen, they apply the correction to their life and there’s a two-fold result. Their life improves and they love you. Look for the wise man.
