Christ Church Lakeside
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, September 12, by celebrating a Holy Eucharist service, in person, 10:30 a.m. at Christ Church Lakeside’s location, two doors east, and on the same side of the La Huerta Eventos Center. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate and give a message “Get Behind Me, Satan” based on Mark 8:27-38. Masks are required.

The Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is now offering in-person services at the fellowship hall located on the carretera at Hidalgo 261, Riberas del Pilar and via Zoom. “Transformation: My Awakening Story,” by Queen D. Michele is the topic of this service. Michele was a 54-year-old retired schoolteacher when she moved from Atlanta, Georgia, alone to the Lake Chapala area in 2017. Here she experienced a full-blown apiritual awakening. She’ll discuss the dramatic changes that took place throughout all aspects of her well-being. The service leader is Kriss Gang.

Abundant Life Church
Why does God love us? Are we so wonderful that He would choose us out of all the creatures of the world? If we are honest with ourselves we would have to admit that there is nothing that wonderful about us. The reason that God loves us is not because we are wonderful but because He is. God is so wonderful and loving that He is always trying to show us just how much we are loved. He wanted us even while we were sinners! But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8) Come Sunday, September 12, to discover just how wonderful God´s love is toward you.
