Lakeside Presbyterian

Sunday, May 29, Pastor Jodi Faulkner will talk about “The Citizens of Heaven.”

We will examine the Bible character Barabbas, and see how each of us is a Barabbas as well. However, because of the price that Jesus paid for Barabbas AND for us, we are His children, who have hope and a future. So then, how do we live as daughters and sons of God? How do we live as citizens of heaven while here on this earth? How do we share the love, joy, and peace we have as His children? We will discuss the answers to these questions  9:30 a.m. (English) and 11 a.m. (Spanish). The live English service streams each Sunday on Facebook at Lakeside Presbyterian Church-Chapala or at lpc-chapala.org. masked, for their peace of mind.

Lake Chapala Baptist

Pastor John told us last Sunday, “Sometimes we need courage just to take the next step. Our courage comes from faith, brothers and sisters, not from the absence of fear.”

The sermon was encouraging and tender, circling around a theme of faith and unity in the Church body. “Be worthy of the gospel of Christ,” he said. “Stand firm with one spirit, one mind! This kind of standing together takes time and commitment; it’s hard work. But there must be a constancy in the Christian life that should be unshakable. Nothing anyone can do can affect my faith in Christ Jesus,” he concluded. And all God’s people answered with a rousing, “Amen!”

Share memorable weekly sermons, uplifting music, and an ongoing thirst for true wisdom at Lake Chapala Baptist Church every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Santa Margarita #147, Riberas del Pilar. Call 376-765-2925. Visit the LCBC Facebook page for more information.

Abundant Life Church

How do you feel when someone else is liked more than you.  Our feelings often cause us to act in ways that we later regret.  God has a plan for each one of us and our lives are in His hands.  We can trust that God knows what He is doing.  Our feelings may be hurt for a moment but in the future, when we see the blessings of God flowing, we will be glad that we trusted Him. Sunday, May 29, be prepared to give your feelings over to God.

English Sunday service is at 11 a.m., also at abundantlifechapala.com. Abundant Life Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico and has services for everyone.
