Tiny tots known as Toñitos and Toñitas dress up in friars’ robes to emulate Sant Anthony of Padua when taking part in religious processions held during the fiestas patronales celebrated in San Antonio Tlayacapan over the first two weeks of June.
Secular activities that unfold each evening around the town plaza continue through Tuesday, June 14, despite whatever short-lived interruptions may be brought on by the first storms of the rainy season.
