The 8th Annual LCS Children’s Summer Art Camp

After a two-year absence, the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) is pleased to announce that our Children’s Summer Art Camp is back.

During each of five days, starting on Monday, July 25, 10 a.m. to noon, approximately 85 children will take part in workshops in drawing and painting, mosaics, dream catchers, watercolor, acrylics, abstract, alum art, embroidery and terra cotta modelling,

The children work in these varied art media, experiencing different materials, learning new skills, and allowing their imaginations and creativity to flow.

If you would like to volunteer and/or donate art supplies for this worthy cause, contact Danielle Pagé at This email address is being protected from spambots. Art materials needed by the kids include: watercolor paints, watercolor paper, canvas boards, acrylic paints, brushes, and any other art materials.

This annual project wouldn’t be possible without the help of the many volunteers who donate their time. Coordinated by the LCS Children’s Art Program, more than 35 volunteers have signed up to help to share their skills, experiences, and enthusiasm with the kids — continuing Neill James’ legacy of art education.
