Dogs and cats

The monthly pet food drive will be held on Thursday, December 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Animal Shelter pet food store.

This event occurs thanks to the support from Geoffrey Kaye of the Animal Shelter and the assistance of Animal Buddies representatives who will be on hand to help you. Your purchase helps the Animal Shelter cats, Anita’s Animals or an animal rescue group of your choice.

If you can’t be there on Monday, you can buy dog or cat food at any time and indicate which group the purchase is for. Tell the clerk and the food will be held for pickup. You’ll need to contact the group benefiting from your purchase.

There will be a time of joint fellowship for the congregations of Christ Church and the Little Chapel by the Lake. Join them for a time of joyful worship and fellowship.

St. Andrew’s Anglican

In art, an icon is something that is a pathway into a deeper reality. With computers, an icon is an insignificant little picture that opens up into a larger, more complicated program. Building upon both of these images, this week’s sermon by Father Winston Welty is “Icons for Christ,” that reflects upon what it takes for an individual to become just such a pathway to the reality of God. Worship begins at 9 a.m., then again at 11 a.m. as the third candle of the Advent season, the candle of joy, is lit.

St. Andrew’s is located at Calle San Lucas 19, just a block south of the carretera in Riberas del Pilar.
