Open House in San Pedro

Poco a Poco San Pedro invites you to join them on Saturday, December 2, for their first official “Open House” visit to San Pedro Itzicán, to see the architectural design and the current construction of the community center.

You will also see photos of some of the projects the organization is involved with.

Meet on the terrace of Anita’s new home, opposite the community center land.  (If interested, she also has plants for sale.)

A carpool will meet behind Black Coffee at 9:40 a.m. The journey will take just over an hour in case people need picking up in Chapala along the way.  The event will finish by 1 p.m. and depending on traffic, everyone should be back in Ajijic just after 2 p.m. Water and light refreshments will be available.

If you plan on attending and if you are bringing anyone else, contact Kari Higgins as soon as possible at 333-820-4927 +Whatsapp or via kariinmexico @gmail.com.

If you have room in your car for others, or if you have a group you are bringing, also let Kari know as soon as possible.

If you need a ride, Poco a Poco will try to arrange that as long as you are at Black Coffee by 9:50 a.m.  Also  let Kari know if you require picking up in Chapala, or need to follow the convoy of cars.

There will be some children at Anita’s house - the volunteers and workers who help Anita in the kitchen, with their children.  So there might be a piñata or two.

You can find more information on the Open House at pocoapocosanpedro com.

Huge Christmas Fair

Looking for that perfect Christmas gift? Look no further. The annual Lake Chapala Society (LCS) Christmas Fair is the largest holiday fair for handicrafts and art held in our region. There are about 100 artisans and artists displaying a huge variety of gifts – big and small. You’ll even find hand-made decorations. There’s something for every taste, and something for every budget.

To get you in the festive spirit, LCS will be decorated for Christmas.
There will be European-style food featuring Josef Schneider’s El Aleman German bratwurst or pork steaks on a bun, plus muffins and cupcakes and a cash bar with wine and soft drinks. In addition, Casa Linda in the Garden restaurant will be open until 3 p.m. each day.
This massive Christmas Fair covers the entire LCS grounds – front and back. Make sure you go all the way to the back, and all the way to the front, or you could miss half the fair!
This two-day event is being held on Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9, from noon to 5 p.m. each day at the Lake Chapala Society, located at 16 de septiembre 16A in Ajijic.

The entry fee is still only 50 pesos, children under 12 are admitted free of charge.
