Silvia Flores, founder of the Centro de Desarrollo Jocotepec, is back home after a quick trip to the nation’s capital where she was honored on December 10 as a recipient of the prestigious México en Tus Manos award.
The honor was given to her by the Fraternidad Nacional de Organizaciones Unidas por México for outstanding contributions to the welfare of the country and its people.
Flores was recognized as a pioneer and expert in the field of sexual and reproductive health care and related community education programs.
