This is a copy of a letter sent to Chapala Mayor Javier Delgadillo.
On Thursday February 23, our friend and neighbor Roy Seaman was killed at the La Floresta traffic lights while crossing the street.
As residents who walk and cross at this intersection daily, we know that it is very dangerous. Cars do not always stop at the red light or multiple cars go through the light after it turns red. The traffic exceeds the speed limit and cars go on the side road to avoid the light. This makes walking here treacherous.
We would like to encourage you strongly to make some improvements before more accidents occur.
