Mexico’s new soccer season the Apertura 2013 kicks off this weekend. Local clubs Chivas and Atlas will be competing in the top division, the newly renamed Liga Bancomer MX, while Estudiantes and Leones Negros will represent Guadalajara in the second division, the Ascenso MX.

Chivas were due to commence the season against Santos Laguna at the Estadio Omnilife on Sunday but the game has been suspended due to Chivas being without four key players who are presently representing Mexico at the Gold Cup.

Estudiantes vs. Oaxaca (Tres de Marzo) Friday, July 26, 7.30p.m.
