Astros make zonal final

The Astros de Jalisco moved into Zone One final of the National Professional Basketball League (LMBP) after defeating the Soles de Mexicali in six games.

The decisive win came in the sixth game of the series on Wednesday evening in Guadalajara, when the Astros overwhelmed the Soles 105-81.  Two of the Astros’ U.S. stars were the standout players on the night: Javion Blake with 26 points and Jordan Loveridge with 24 points.

The Astros will face either Fuerza Regia of Monterrey (the 2021 champions) or the Mineros de Zacatecas in their zonal final.  The winner of that series will go on to the “Gran Final,” against either the Dorados of Chihuahua or the Abejas of Leon, the teams that will dispute the Zone Two final.
