Get a taste of ancient times at Medieval Festival in Ixtlahuacan

The next Medieval Festival will take place February 18 and 19 at the Rancho Casa Club Casa Blanca in Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos.

Tickets, which cost 300 pesos for adults and 200 pesos for children over the age of four, are 2x1 before February 1, and are available at festival-medieval-jalisco.boletia.com. Hours are 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The event promises more than 30 activities, and the show ground will feature four thematic kingdom zones: Medieval, Andalusia, Viking and Fantasy.  Expect to see displays of jousting; warrior combat; a Viking funeral; Celtic, Arab, Nordic and medieval music and dance; fire spectacles, parades and juggling; a medieval, pagan and Viking market; sales of merchandise, food and drink booths, and more

Visitors are encouraged to come in costume, and there will be a campground provided for people to pitch a tent and stay overnight.
