Gourmands, ready your lobster bibs and antacid tablets: the annual list of Latin America’s top 50 restaurants, sponsored by San Pellegrino, has just released their updated 2017 roster and it includes a whopping 13 Mexican restaurants
– more than any other country – two of which are based in Guadalajara: Alcalde, a French-influenced restaurant on Avenida Mexico, and La Docena Oyster Bar & Grill, which has branches in Providencia’s Plaza Sao Paolo and Zapopan’s Plaza Andares. Two Mexico City restaurants should really be feeling their oats this year: Pujol and Quintonil placed fourth and sixth, respectively, on the Latin America list, and 20th and 22nd on the international list.
