Zapopan’s heart is currently the site of a perfect storm of civic beautification and public service facelifts –
readily visible to pedestrians walking from the “Arches” at the Americas/Avila Camacho intersection to the municipality’s famed Basilica along the Andador 20 de Noviembre walkway. While the intersection is currently a massive construction site soon to morph into a Tren Ligero subway station, the walkway has been extensively remodeled.
The completion of this labor will be celebrated Saturday, November 11, from 1 p.m., with the first Festival Andador, featuring artistic and gastronomic events in the giant Plaza de las Americas facing the Basilica.
