These get-togethers focus on a documentary or fictional movie relevant to current politics and society. November’s film will be “Pride,” inspired by the true story of a London gay-lesbian activist group in 1984 that decides to support a mineworkers strike and travels to a village in Wales to present a donation. Reviewers call it a story that is heartwarming without being sappy.

Since it will be lunchtime, moviegoers are invited to bring food to share, a serving utensil and their own beverage.  Paper plates, cups, flatware, and napkins are provided. A 20-peso donation per person covers the use of the salon and big screen. The group will not use the kitchen.

The American Society, Avenida San Francisco 3332 between Juan Bernardino and Federico Javier Clavijero. Plenty of parking is available. Optional RSVP to Cam Esser,  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., (33) 3813-0991.
