At least seven armed individuals raided the Fabricas de Francia department store in Guadalajara’s Gran Plaza earlier this week, breaking glass cases and making off with a haul of expensive watches and assorted jewelry.
The raid occurred around 5:30 a.m. despite the presence of security guards. Video footage showed the men smashing the glass entrance doors to the store before entering.
One of the stolen watches was later found discarded on the hood of a car left on Avenida Vallarta by the entrance to the barrio of Santa María del Pueblito.
