The Jalisco Tourism Department (Secturjal) has commissioned artists from the state’s eight Pueblos Mágicos (Magic Towns) to create special pieces for a promotional exhibit titled “Jalisco en el corazón” (Jalisco in the heart).
Each artist was provided with a fiberglass heart measuring 1.5 meters in height to create a personal work illustrating the beauty, heritage and culture of their particular Magic Town.
The participating artists are Carlos Terres, Lagos de Moreno; Rubén Cázarez Guzmán, Mascota; Servin Carrion, Mazamitla; Juan Francisco Flores Guerrero, San Sebastián del Oeste; Candelario Gómez Ponce, Talpa de Allende; Julio César Jiménez, Tapalpa; Cirilo Flores Sánchez, Tequila; Víctor Pineda Velázquez and Álex Calvillo, Tlaquepaque.
The waterproofed works will be on display in the Plaza de la Comunicación, Independencia 8C, corner of Calle Carrillo Puerto, in Tlaquepaque centro until October 13.
