Top chefs to visit city’s No. 1 rated restaurant

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Guadalajara’s top-rated Alcalde Restaurant (ranked 51st best in the world in 2022), the eatery on Avenida Mexico is inviting five of the top chefs in the world to prepare special menus.

The next edition of the “Ciclorama” series is on Saturday, February 11, when Daniela Soto-Innes, the Mexican-born, U.S.-trained chef who was named the World’s Best Female Chef at the 2019 World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards, will prepare a special tasting menu.  She will be assisted by Alcalde chef and owner Paco Ruano.

The lunch will be served from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and dinner from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is 3,400 pesos per person and places must be reserved in advance at WhatsApp 64-6210-7102. The price includes tasting and pairing.

Soto-Innes been involved in various successful projects in the United States, including Cosme, a popular contemporary Mexican restaurant in Manhattan’s Flatiron district. This year, she is expected to open a new spot in Punta Mita called Rubra.
