The University of Guadalajara has postponed the 2026 edition of the Feria Internacional de la Música (FIM) and its accompanying Festival PortAmérica following recommendations from Jalisco authorities after the recent violent incidents in the state.
The 11th edition of the event, scheduled for February 25-28 and featuring headliners Enrique Bunbury and Lila Downs along with more than 60 activities, was suspended to ensure a safe environment for artists, professionals and attendees.
Organizers have not announced a new date for the Ibero-American music industry gathering but expressed confidence that the postponement will allow them to strengthen the program while maintaining their quality and safety standards.
