Friends of Ixtlahuacan restaurant owner Francisco Ricardo Vargas Garcia, who was shot and killed on April 30, want the community to know that the family has re-opened their popular Cinco Potrillos restaurant.
Contrary to many rumors, the shooting took place at the Vargas ranch west of Guadalajara — not at the Ixtlahuacan restaurant.
The community of Ixtlahuacan is anxious that those who have enjoyed the good food and service of Cinco Potrillos and the charm of the town will continue to do so. The restaurant continues to be the primary support of the Vargas family and is a clean and safe environment for the establishment’s many loyal customers.
