Chapala Red Cross workers ready to head to Louisiana

Two paramedics currently employed by Cruz Roja Chapala are on standby for deployment to Louisiana for the search and rescue phase of the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.

They are Mario A. Gonzalez Rios and Jessica Leticia Lopez Aguilar. Both are bilingual and highly trained professionals.

The American Red Cross will pay for transportation, lodging and meals but Cruz Roja Chapala will continue to pay their salaries and will have to hire two other people to take their place.

If you would like to help out with the effort of helping the people of Louisiana get back on their feet, take checks in United States dollars made out to CRIVC, INC  or cash to the Cruz Roja table at the Lake Chapala Society. Checks written on Mexican banks should be made out to Cruz Roja Mexicana –Chapala, I.A.P. Indicate that the funds are specifically for flood relief.
