Some 200 supporters turned up to witness the inauguration of the new office of the recently formed Business Association of Ixtlahuacan de los Membrillos.
Among companies represented in the new association are well-known names such as Santorini, Gatorade, Polesa, Horco, Concretos Ready Mix, Gen and Solido.
A major aim of the association is to assist and encourage residents of Ixtlahuacan municipality who are planning to start their own businesses.The association will provide assistance on legal, tax and urban planning issues, as well as operate a placement service for those seeking employees (bolsa de trabajo).
Ixtlahuacan Mayor Carlos Mendez and Mayor-elect Sergio Quintero had the honor of cutting the inaugural ribbon.
Rafael Castellanos Torres, the president of the association, was joined at the ceremony by vice presidents Jose Luis Rodriguez Sandoval, Gerardo Cordova Ocampo and Jorge Reyes.
