Mayor’s farewell report to prelude Grito

With just two weeks to go before he leaves office, Chapala Mayor Jesus Cabrera will present the third and final annual report on activities and accomplishments of his administration.

The Informe will take place Saturday, September 15, 6 p.m., in the lobby of the Palacio Municipal.

Traditional festivities marking the anniversary of Mexico’s Independence will get underway outside the city hall immediately after the event. Cabrera will cap off the evening with his last appearance on the building’s front balcony to lead the customary reenactment of Miguel Hidalgo’s famed Grito de Independencia (cry for independence).
