The body of U.S citizen Danny Kaye Hutchison, 67, was discovered on the afternoon of December 31 near the home he was renting in Chapala Haciendas.
He apparently lived there alone with a half-dozen dogs as companions. The cause of death has been registered as suicide by hanging. Acquaintances told police that Hutchison became despondent after learning of the death of his sister several weeks ago. Officials at the U.S. Consulate are reportedly trying to track down next of kin. The authorities offered no information on the fate of the canines.
