Ajijic Rotary Club president Norma Cannon (right) recently lived out a childhood fantasy, dressing in full gear for a training session with Chapala’s dedicated firefighters.
It gave her a close up look at the dilapidated second-hand equipment and emergency vehicles the crew employs in to carry out dangerous duties. Rotarians, the Houston Fire Department and a March fund-raiser are being lined up to support acquisitions and repairs of material resources.
