Chapala teen suspected of slaying sibling

Law enforcement authorities are on the hunt for a Chapala teenager who is reportedly on the run in connection with the February 9 fatal stabbing of his older brother.

Responding to an emergency call placed just after noon, Red Cross medics found Eduardo Elvira Perez, 19, slumped on the sidewalk just outside his home in the Tepehua barrio, showing no vital signs. He had succumbed to a chest wound allegedly inflicted by his 14- year-old sibling Francisco at the height of a heated argument over possession of a music apparatus.  According to investigators, the young suspect killer attacked his brother with a kitchen knife and then fled for the hills after the recognizing the gravity of the damage done.
