Bentley Main, the elderly U.S. citizen resident who was stabbed and beaten in brutal attack during a presumed robbery at his Riberas del Pilar home, died Tuesday night in Guadalajara’s Hospital Civil.
During more than a week of intensive care treatment, he suffered medical setbacks and never regained consciousness, leaving investigators with few clues on the circumstances and perpetrators of the crime, which also involved the murder of Main’s housemate Martin Orozco.
