Cruz Roja heads out to disaster zone

After waiting on standby for the past several weeks, personnel at Cruz Roja Chapala finally picked up their rucksacks Tuesday, October 1 to head off to the state of Guerrero where they will to help out in communities that were badly battered by tropical storm Manuel.

Chapala sent five specially trained EMT paramedics and two volunteer assistants to join the Jalisco Red Cross team that has been assigned to take over the duties from exhausted rescue and relief workers who have been digging out in widespread disasters zones left in the wake of the viscous storm.
