Hundreds of off-road enthusiasts roared into Riberas del Pilar last Sunday to mix it up at lakeside’s 17th Festival del Lodo.
Rainy season conditions at the new lakefront venue were just right for a full day of messy mud bogging to amuse daring drivers and the throng of party-hard spectators.
The event brought new meaning to the phrase “stuck in the mud,” put hard cash into the pockets of towing service operators, provoked a few minor mishaps and caused annoyances to some area householders unprepared for the traffic congestion and high-decibel music in a normally quiet neighborhood.
