Two young men perished and another suffered grave injuries from a single car crash at the north end of Chapala’s Avenida Madero, reported on Monday, October 30.
The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the traffic light at intersection of Avenida Pepe Guizar. Apparently the driver of a Honda Sedan lost control of his car while heading into town at an excessive speed. The vehicle flipped over several times before landing on the adjacent service road where it collided with the exterior of a house occupied by craftsmen dedicated to the repair of equipal furniture.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One of his passengers expired a short time later at the Chapala Cruz Roja clinic, while another companion was rushed from there to a Guadalajara hospital for emergency treatment. All three victims were identified as residents of Guadalajara, aged between 15 and 18.
