Driver’s license mobile unit returns

The Jalisco’s traffic department has scheduled a return visit of it mobile driver’s license service, coming to Chapala’s Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia (CCAP, former town hall) on Thursday, February 15.

The program will offer issuance of first time permits for auto, truck chauffer and motorcycle drivers and renewals in all three categories.

Applicants will be received on a first-come/first serve basis, with entry to seats in the auditorium waiting area opening at 9 a.m. Processing will get underway around 10:30 a.m.

Requisite documentation includes the original and one photocopy of the applicant’s IFE voter ID or immigration residency credential, proof of domicile, and CURP (personal identification registration), and receipt for payment of the corresponding fee, along with statement of blood type.

For renewals, the current or expired Jalisco license is needed. First time applicants must pass written and driving exams.

Payments should be made in advance at the Recaudadora (state tax office), Calle Degollado 306, or by deposit at Banamex to SEPAF account 6100819. Receipts issued for the mobile unit program that was cancelled last August remain valid, although applicants need to pay the difference in fee increases applicable this year.
