Cops nab local thieves in flagranti

Flanked by Mayor Javier Degollado and press secretary Carlos García, Chapala police chief Adán Domínguez announces the recent capture of a local man and two females accomplices who admitted to committing dozens of crimes in the area over the past several months, ranging from auto theft to break-ins at business outfits and private residences.

The suspects were nabbed at 7:30 a.m. on February 22 while they were burglarizing a home in Chapala’s Las Redes neighborhood.

Domínguez issued a public plea for all crime victims to file complaints with the police department. English-speaking officers are available at Public Security headquarters, Calle Niños Héroes at Zaragoza, or dial 766-4444 to arrange for house calls.
