Chapala’s Patronato de Tenis, headquartered at the Parque de la Cristiana, will host its second annual National Youth Tennis Tournament, programmed for Thursday, June 21 through Sunday, June 24 under the auspices of the Federación Mexicana de Tenis and the Asociación de Tenis de Jalisco.
The tournament is expected to draw 80 to 100 young players, 10 to 20 years old, from a half dozen states. The contest will include singles and doubles games, split into five age categories for male and female divisions.
Competition rounds will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with finals and awards set for Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Spectators are welcome to come and watch the games free of charge.
