Exchanging a friendly handshake to show their election rivalry is over, Chapala mayor-elect Moises Anaya and incumbent Javier Degollado met briefly Monday, July 30, to initiate the first steps toward the transition to a new government administration taking charge as of October 1.
Neither of the politicians responded to questions concerning the legal challenges to overturn the election results, which are currently under consideration by Jalisco’s electoral tribunal.
