Abuse case teacher rearrested

Ana Guadalupe “N”, the teacher accused of molesting her kindergarten pupils in San Nicolas de Ibarra, was arrested on new charges Thursday, July 26, only minutes after being released on probation to serve out a suspended four-year sentence on three counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

She was apprehended by agents waiting at the gates of Chapala’s regional criminal courthouse with an arrest warrant issued for a separate case involving another child, tied in with 11 legal complaints lodged by parents of the pre-schoolers.

The teacher will remain behind bars in preventive custody for up to 14 months while investigations continue.
