Extinction Rebellion is an international movement dedicated to raising the alarm about the dire threat of climate change by using public parades to force governments to take action.
The Extinction Rebellion demands the government:
- Tell the truth about the climate and wider ecological emergency.
- Enact legally binding policy measures to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025.
- Establish a National Citizen’s Assembly to oversee the changes.
Saturday, January 26, the Progressive Action Group plans to have a parade in an attempt to draw local attention to global warming and the impending climate change crisis. This parade is in solidarity with the international Extinction Rebellion movement and U.S. Rebellion Day 1.
