The Jalisco Attorney General’s office (FGE) has announced the capture of a prime suspect in the case of an attempted homicide that occurred February 13 in Ajijic.
The suspect, identified as Pedro “N” age 25, was picked up by state agents acting on an arrest warrant issued by the District V Criminal Court. The 52-year-old male victim survived multiple gunshot wounds sustained in a direct attack that took place at the corner of Calle Aldama and Guadalupe Victoria.
FGE evidence indicates that the presumed gunman escaped the crime scene by car, along with two accomplices. The arrest is the first solid result of detective work carried out in the wake of 15 shooting incidents reported in the Chapala municipality between late January and mid-March.
