San Antonio Tlayacapan unveils signature sign

A colorful sign spelling out the name San Antonio Tlayacapan was unveiled on Saturday, December 21 at the town plaza, following that evening’s Posada celebration.

pg9The signature letters colored in bright shades of blue, green and pink were forged in steel laminate based on the graphic plan created by 25-year-old village native Juan Antonio Aguayo de la Cruz, who was declared the winner of a design contest held earlier this year.

The letters are adorned with various images in darker tones representing San Antonio’s architectural landmarks, history, customs and natural attributes.
