Back in early May, Chapala Mayor Moisés Anaya presided at a public meeting at the Ajijic plaza to announce how the government would spend money collected from early-bird tax payers who voted on their preferences during the first three months of this year.
Just over 1.58 million pesos were earmarked to rehabilitate the badly pitted cobblestone streets of Calles Ocampo-Constitución, Flores Magón and Aldama, along with the construction of handicap-friendly crosswalks at 16 intersections located in the center of town.
