The heat is on for Lakeside’s 42nd annual Mexican National Chili Cookoff, set to run Friday, February 7, through Sunday, February 9, at Tobolandia Water Park, located on the Chapala-Ajijic highway just west of the Libramiento intersection.
The huge charity happening will feature four culinary contests, a sprawling marketplace, food and bar services, raffle prize give-aways and non-stop entertainment. Gates open daily, 11 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with ample on-site parking.
Friday’s program revolves around the side-by-side margarita and salsa contests, with tasting and People’s Choice voting beginning at 12:30 p.m.
