Chapala’s Municipal Traffic Department has registered 26 single and multiple vehicle highway accidents since the start of 2020, averaging out to nearly one per day.
Twelve crashes occurred on the stretch of Avenida Hidalgo and Carretera between central Chapala and the municipality’s western limits. Eight others happened on interior streets, and four more on the Libramiento bypass.
