Chapala firefighters extinguished a huge brush fire that broke out Monday, March 2 on open land near the junction of the Libramiento bypass and the Chapala-Guadalajara highway.
Fueled by strong winds, giant flames scorched a wide swath of the terrain, spreading perilously close to a nearby private home.
