With city coffers replenished by fresh revenue collected since the first of the year, the Chapala government has invested around 500,000 pesos in new equipment and vehicles to boost the efficiency of public services.
Gear destined for the departments of Servicios Generales, Parques y Jardines, Tránsito and the Simapa water authority was handed out during a brief ceremony Tuesday, March 110 in front of City Hall.
Items included a compact Nissan stake bed truck, seven Honda motorcycles complete with helmets, a John Deere lawn tractor, a power push mower and a power washer, along with a collection of chainsaws, tree trimmers, weed whackers, spray pumps and other hand tools.
