The Ajijic Recycling Committee has suspended the collection of discarded plastic, glass and cardboard as a step to protect the health of paid staff and volunteers who sort items at the Centro de Acopio warehouse.
Residents are asked to stop depositing their recyclable wastes in the blue wire bins located around the village which are being emptied and flipped upside down until the program is resumed.
