After receiving multiple reports that idle young people continue hanging out to socialize in the open park at the Ajijic waterfront, local police are now making regular patrol rounds along the Malecón area to prevent clustering that endangers public health.
They will not run off people who venture out on their own to take in a bit of fresh air and soul-soothing lake views as long as shelter-in-place practices are not mandatory
