Possible Covid-19 cases in Chapala ruled out

With two potential Covid-19 cases discarded so far by state health authorities, Chapala officially remains free of the disease.

According to Isaac Trejo, Chapala City Hall’s top legal officer, Jalisco’s Department of Health (SSJ) has notified the local government that two male residents of the municipality have been ruled out as carriers of Covid-19.

Interviewed Monday, April 20, Trejo revealed that one of the individuals had reported directly to SSJ in Guadalajara after having contact with someone in the state capital suspected of having Covid-19, who eventually tested negative.

The other case involved a man who was channeled to SSJ by municipal medical services after seeking consultation for flu-like symptoms. His test results were also negative.
