Agents from the Jalisco Special Prosecutor’s Office for Disappeared (FEPD) returned this week to the house located on the western outskirts of Ajijic, where eight abduction captives were rescued alive on June 16.

pg11dThis time, the lawmen, accompanied by forensic experts, have been exploring the property located on Camino al Rincón in the Las Quintas neighborhood in search of a clandestine burial site where homicide victims may have been interred.

The authorities were led back to a place utilized as a criminal hideout by information gathered in the investigation of various missing persons cases held in FEPD files.

Sources close to the police operation – including relatives of some of individuals who have disappeared over the past two years – told news outlets that at least three corpses have been uncovered since Tuesday, October 27.
