Jocotepec Mayor José Miguel Gómez López is recuperating at home after testing positive for Covid-19 infection this week.
His condition was revealed in a brief message posted on Facebook late Monday, October 26, following confirmation of the results of a PCR test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus applied several days earlier.
“At the moment I am fine, isolated at home with some cold symptoms,” Gómez stated, noting that he is continuing to fulfill work duties from there. He advised everyone who has been in close contact with him recently to remain under observation for possible contagion.
