Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, beware! Work crews are now out on the highway west of Ajijic initiating demolition of concrete barriers and trench digging for the second leg of the ciclovia (cycle path) improvement project contracted by the state government.
Once finished, the track will fully connect Chapala, Jocotepec and intermediate points. There has been no explanation as to why there is no sign of progress on the perilous undeveloped segment between Calle Aquiles Serdán and Villa Nova.
